3 Day 2 Night Fascinating Luang Prabang Experience
Day 01. Welcome To Luang Prabang and Kuang Si Waterfalls
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, "the world heritage city”, our tour guide will warmly receive you and check you into your hotel. Our World Unesco Heritage Site boasts to be the most well-preserved Asian town and the Jewel of Laos Tourism famous for beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, French architecture, local cafes and friendly people.
After a short rest, we will have a quick lunch at Sithi Restaurant which is very popular among locals and expatriates before we take a drive to visit a local village of lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Na Ouan, a Hmong village, Ban Ou, Lao Loom village and Ban Thapene, which are Khmu village. The path ultimately ends up at the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails then back to the hotel. Dinner will be served at Bounyasouk riverside restaurant for a relaxing and peaceful night while watching the sunset and enjoying the river view.
Day 02. Luang Prabang City Tour with optional River Cruise or Elephant Riding
Before breakfast, we will join the daily morning alms giving ceremony for a peek into the rich tradition of Laos Buddhism and gain merit by giving sticky rice to monks.
After breakfast, we will visit the central morning market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chicken vegetables and hill tribe weaving. We will then move on to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai and of course, Wat Xieng Thong, the temple of the gold city with its low-sweeping roof, representing classical Laotian architecture, which became the royal museum in 1975. We will also visit the national Museum (closed on Tuesdays) at the former royal palace. It displays a collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last reign. Then we climb 328 steps to the top of Phou Si mountain for the best views of Luang Prabang and picture taking.
Lunch will be served at Oct Pop Tok weaving centre which also boasts a charming restaurant along the Mekong river. The guide will explain the process of silk weaving and production to the guests with high quality silk products on display.
After lunch, there will be options for our guests which they can choose from either (Half Day tour to Tad Sae Waterfall for 1 Hour Elephant riding and swimming) or (Half Day river cruise to visit the Thousand Buddha Cave).
The day will end off with shopping at the Luang Prabang Night Market and free & easy dinner.
Day 03. Farewell
It’s time to bid farewell to Luang Prabang as you set off for your next journey, we will thank you using our services and transfer you to the airport.
